Targeted tax aid for poorer Americans would be far more egalitarian than most kinds of infrastructure spending, like broadband technology. Sensible infrastructure projects wouldn’t disproportionately employ the least-skilled Americans. Forgoing the payroll tax for households earning less than $75,000 a year is surer progressivism than bridge-building.

What a strange experience

Reading Muammar Qaddafi’s one state solution for Israel and Palestine (Isralestine!) against the information that Barack Obama has appointed George Mitchell — aka the guy who brokered peace in Northern Ireland — to head the middle east peace process.

I dont’ know.  its just strange.

Again, clearly someone at the BBC has a sense of humor.  Or maybe that’s historical irony.  Or possible just a good case of the brimming anger and righteous indignation I experience everyday.  There are a lot of emotions you can express thru laughter.
